All of the gym’s equipment is made of wood and carved by hand by local carpenters using natural materials, which makes it special.

90% of the gym’s equipment is made from natural materials like wood (from local builders), bamboo, and stone. This makes for interesting and unique workouts and training.
They also have more useful traditional gym equipment like Olympic and EZ bars with bumper plates, medicine balls, kettlebells, TRX’s, boxing bags, and Bulgarian bags.
How far is Tulum Jungle Gym from Cancun?
Cancun to Tulum by car
In November 2022, we drove from Cancun Airport (Tulum doesn’t have an airport) to Tulum. It takes about 75 miles to get there. By car, the trip takes about an hour and a half.
Cancun to Tulum by bus
The cheapest way to get to the Jungle Gym is to take the local “Colectivo” shuttle bus from Playa to Tulum for 45 pesos ($3), then take a cab from Tulum town to the beach for about 100-120 pesos ($5-$6).
With this method, the whole trip should take about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Can anyone go to the Tulum Jungle Gym?
Yes, anyone can go to Tulum Jungle Gym, no matter how fit or experienced they are.
Everyone can use it, from people who have never worked out before to skilled athletes and wrestlers.
It’s open to anyone who wants to get in shape and work out, but people who like dancing, gymnastics, bodybuilding, and weightlifting will enjoy it the most.
Does the Tulum Jungle Gym offer classes?
Yes. It does have private classes, which give you a truly full workout experience in a very special setting.
The private lessons are built around the equipment and the beautiful outdoors.

How do you get into the Tulum Jungle Gym?
You can go to one of the best gyms in the world and do everything it has to offer for a price that is really, really low.
The cost to get in is $30 USD per person (prices from January 2023), which gives you entry to all of the gym’s activities and classes.
It also gives savings to groups of more than 5 people and has different prices for people who live in the area.
It is only a few miles from a number of beachfront sites, which makes it easy to enjoy everything the area has to offer.
We rode bikes from Tulum Pueblo to the gym almost every day. It’s an easy ride on a bike.
Does the gym provide towels and showers?
They give people face towels, hand gel with an antibacterial agent, and sun cream.
Even though they didn’t have showers when we were there, you can use the showers at the Ahau hotel, which is right next door (about 200 meters away).
